Planned road closures could cause delays in Ashdon

Diversions will be in place as roads close in Ashdon over the next week.


Motorists could face disruption over the next week, with a number of road closures planned in Ashdon and the surrounding area.

A spokesman for Essex County Council confirmed that Church Road in Ashdon will close for essential carriageway repairs this Wednesday and Thursday 25-26 February, with a diversion in place.

Ashdon Forest School will be closed to pupils on Wednesday because of the anticipated disruption, while a spokesman for Ashdon Primary School said the school had warned parents to be vigilant and expect delays because of the closure.

Walden Road up to Rectory Lane will also shut on Wednesday and Thursday, while the disruption continues next week, when Bartlow Road is due to close from March 3-6, and Ashdon Road, Bartlow, will also be closed from March 4 to 6.
