Police have charged a 23-year-old man with the murders of two people in Stansted on Wednesday night (July 22).

Brett Rogers, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody after appearing at Chelmsford Magistrates Court earlier today.
He will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday (July 27).
The two victims, named in court as Gillian Phillips and David Oakes, died inside the house in Bentfield Gardens after police were called just before 11pm on the night of the incident.
Essex Police said initial investigations suggested they had been stabbed.
The murder weapon has not yet been found but police are combing the area around the semi-detached property, which will remain cordoned off for the next few days.

The post mortems of the victims will be carried out today (July 24).
