A teenage girl was injured after being struck by a car as she crossed the road in Saffron Walden on Monday and police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

The 14-year-old, from Saffron Walden, was crossing the road at the junction of Borough Lane and London Road at 8.10am when a small orange car made contact with her.

The make and model of the vehicle is unknown.

The teenager suffered minor injuries and although the driver stopped, he did not give his full details.
