A map of sites across Uttlesford which landowners have put up for development has been published.

The district council on Monday (December 7) revealed the results from its Call for Sites which took place between April and June this year.

The map, which includes large settlements at Great Chesterford, Dunmow, and land between Stebbing, Great Saling and Rayne, will go on to help form the Local Plan.

Planners will investigate the sites for their suitability and will take into consideration the results from the consultation which ended on Friday (December 4).

A refined plan will then be published early next year and will undergo another consultation.

The bigger sites include a 5,000-home development at Great Chesterford between south east of the A11 and north east of the B184, a further 2,500 homes at Field Hall Farm, also Great Chesterford, up to 10,000 homes at Easton Park north west of Great Dunmow, 4,500 homes at Broxted Wood and 7,500 homes on land centred at Saling airfield.
