THE Open University is offering potential students in Saffron Walden the opportunity to talk to tutors directly.

The event is being held at Saffron Walden Library on Tuesday January 27 from 10.30am to 2pm.

An experienced tutor will be available to answer questions about courses, learning methods, financial assistance and to guide visitors through the OU prospectus. No appointments are necessary.

Questions potential students might ask include: What courses does the Open University offer? What is available in the Saffron Walden area? Can I work and study at the same time? What if I don't have formal qualifications?

More than 1500 people in the Saffron Walden area are already studying The Open University, some to improve career options, others to make for lost educational opportunities and others to simply stretch the mind.

With its national network of tutorials the OU has the flexibility to meet most needs.
