A high voltage overhead electricity line fault this morning (March 16) has caused a sizeable power cut which is currently affecting hundreds of homes south of Saffron Walden.
The fault was first reported at 9.17am and CB10 and CB11 postcodes are among 21 areas that are potentially affected by the cut.
Uk Power Network has apologised for any trouble caused and say 453 homes have been cut off.
The company estimate that power will be restored by 3.30pm.
