Learning CPR and how to deal with burns was all in a day’s work for a group of Year 6 pupils.

Children at St Thomas More School received basic first aid training from St John Ambulance.

The practical course, which leads to a qualification lasting three years, covered responding to CPR, minor injuries, asthma, chocking and burns. It was provided as part of the mayor’s appeal, of which the chosen charity was St John Ambulance.
