A private property business has been appointed to promote the site for the proposed North Uttlesford garden community.

Grosvenor, which has worked on other developments such as Trumpington Meadows, in Cambridge, will take on promotion throughout the Local Plan and planning process.

Alex Robinson, Director at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, said: “We are delighted that Grosvenor has been selected to work with the council and landowners on this opportunity to deliver a new neighbourhood with new homes and infrastructure.

“The country’s housing shortage is threatening our ability to provide homes for the next generation. We must respond not just with more housing units but with great places that are home to people of mixed incomes, backgrounds and life stages.

“Closer, more creative collaboration will be needed. I look forward to working with the parish council, the district council and the local community to develop these proposals.”

If the Local Plan is approved, the site could see up to 5,000 homes built.
