A DOCTOR, a pilot and a hairdresser were among 13 professionals invited to give a talk to eager pupils at Chrishall Primary School.

The professionals, also including a tiler, garden designer and mechanic, chatted about their jobs and were asked questions by the children.

Acting Headteacher Sharon Williams said: "The children were very serious about interviewing the adults and asked some searching questions with great confidence."

The event was held by the school as part of the government's initiative, Every Child Matters, which is a new approach to the well-being of children and young people from birth to age 19.
