POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a man wandered onto railway tracks near Saffron Walden and caused disruption to train services.
Officers from Essex Police and British Transport Police (BTP) were called to the incident near Audley End station last Thursday (December 29) at about 1.50pm following a report of a man trespassing on the tracks.
A spokesman from BTP said: “A 52-year-old man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital for assessment. The man did not suffer any injuries.
“Officers are looking at the circumstances surrounding the incident and are making follow-up inquiries.”
