THE first recruitment fair for jobseekers, organised and sponsored by NBA, will be held at the Coach and Horses in Newport on Friday June 19 from 9am to 1pm.

The bi-annual event is being held in response to local demand to help fill the employment gap for those that need jobs and those businesses that need staff.

The event is aimed at residents, businesses and organisations in Newport and the surrounding area that are looking to brush up on their interview techniques and wishing to create a good impression when attending interviews or meetings.

NBA will be holding an initial 9.30am seminar to explain the do's and don'ts of interview techniques, and then breaking out for several hands-on workshops to learn: How to write an effective CV and introductory letter; interview skills and confidence boosting tips; feel confident and dress to impress; presentation/fashion advice; how to brush up your office skills and get to grips with the latest software

Specialist advisors and councillors will be available, as well as representatives from Business Link, Uttlesford District Council, Kickstart, image consultants, complementary therapists and financial advisors.

If you would like to advertise or contribute to the event, ring 01799 541114 and ask for Jeremy Rose or Hilary Waite, quoting NBA Recruitment Fair advertising.
