Once Christmas is over and it is time to take the decorations down, you can have your Christmas tree collected from your home for charity.

Ashdon and Saffron Walden Young Farmers Club is offering to collect and dispose of your tree for a suggested donation of £5 which will go to the charity Accuro, which helps people with disabilities and their families.

The trees will be collected from Saffron Walden and the surrounding villages on Saturday, January 6. To arrange a collection, call or text 07835 749 373 or 07725 672 350 including your name, address and a contact phone number so that the collection can be arranged.

Accuro, named after the Latin meaning “to care for people” is a charity which works across Uttlesford. It was set up 30 years ago and was orginally three separate organisations all of which were charities in their own right and which had been formed by three separate groups of parents of children with a disability who were, unhappy about the services that were available to them and decided to do something to change this themselves.
