Uttlesford District Council is opening a rest centre for residents in the district still affected by a loss of power.
Hot meals and warmth will be provided at Foakes Hall, in Stortford Road, Great Dunmow, for those who still have no electricity following Monday’s storm.
The centre will be open from 4pm today (Wednesday), for the evening.
Anybody affected in the Uttlesford area is welcome to go along and council staff will be on hand to help out.
Food is being provided by the Royal Voluntary Service.
