MEMBERS of Saffron Walden Rotary Club of Saffron Walden rolled up their sleeves in a bulb-planting [initiative] on the Common.
The team planted 12 bags of daffodil bulbs - donated by the town’s Homebase store - to fill the bare patches in the spring display at the top of the amenity.
Spokesman for the club, Jeremy Buss, said: “The daffodils that the town enjoys each year were originially planted by the Rotary Club for the millennium but gaps have started to appear in the display.
“The co-operation between Homebase and Rotary will ensure a pleasing show of flowers for many more years to come.”
