A Saffron Walden youth services project has thanked carnival organisers for a charitable donation.

Trustees from the Saffron Walden Youth Outreach Project, including Yvonne Morton, Ben Balliger and Mike Hibbs, receive funding for the charity from the town’s Round Table, organisers of last summer’s Saffron Walden Carnival.

Cllr Balliger, chairman of the charity, said: “We rely on charitable donations to provide youth services in Saffron Walden.

“It is really wonderful to receive a cheque from the carnival funds.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have such generous funding for the voluntary sector and would like to pass on our thanks to the Round Table, not only for the money, but for all that they do to make Saffron Walden a special place.”
