Hundreds of children and families joined in the parade and service to mark Remembrance Sunday on November 11 in Dunmow.
Saffron Walden MP Kemi Badenoch joined Dunmow mayor Barrie Easter as well as members of the Dunmow and District Branch of The Royal British Legion on the parade which began outside the Saracens Head on Dunmow High Street and ended at the war memorial.
Professor Michael Adler, deputy lieutenant for Essex also attended and the Last Post was performed during the service, followed by the laying of the wreaths.
Speaking about the number of people who attended the parade, Cllr Easter told the Broadcast: “I have never seen anything like it. There were three or four times more people than I have ever seen before at Remembrance Sunday.”
