A pile of wood and bricks was illegally dumped on the B1051 in-between Thaxted and Great Sampford today (Sept 1), causing a serious hazard for motorists.
The fly-tipping incident was reported to Uttlesford District Council (UDC) in the morning, and passing cars were forced to slow to avoid the rubbish.
A spokesman for UDC said: “We received a submission via the website and it was passed on to street services. The situation is now with Essex Highways, who made it a priority.”
