THE screening of Slumdog Millionaire at 5pm on Sunday (March 22) marked another landmark in the development of Saffron Walden's Community Cinema - it was the 1000th screening.
Celebrating the event, chairman of Saffron Screen, Rebecca del Tufo, thanked the audience.
She said: "I am delighted that this event has coincided with the screening of such a good and successful British film."
Over 1000 people visited the cinema at the weekend, with all the screenings of Slumdog Millionaire selling out.
