Saffron Walden and Great Dunmow weekly crime round-up

Thieves gained entry to a site in Dunmow Road, Start Hill, between 5pm on June 10 and 6.50am on June 13 and stole items from within.

An attempt to break into a house in Sheds Lane, Saffron Walden, was made between 12.45pm and 4.30pm on June 15. Suspects used an object to try to force the letter box out and caused damage to the door. No entry was gained and nothing was stolen in the incident.

A Ford Transit tipper van was stolen from Cannons Lane, Hatfield Broad Oak, on July 15 at 11.24pm. The vehicle was taken from the victim’s driveway.

The driver’s side back tyre of a blue Ford Focus was slashed between 7pm on June 15 and 9.30am on June 16. The incident took place at Pound Hill, Little Dunmow.
