Three Saffron Walden workers are among 10 employees who have racked up 320 years’ service for a building supplies company.

Ridgeons, the largest independent timber and builders’ merchant in East Anglia, welcomed the employees to its esteemed ‘25 Club’ in recognition of their continued service.

At the Saffron Walden branch, on Ashdon Road, operations manager Gareth Percival, fitter mechanic Danny Timmons and salesperson Mark Fitzhenry were all honoured.

The new additions join 157 existing members of the ‘25 Club’, all of whom have worked for Ridgeons for 25 years or longer, and were invited to a special dinner event to celebrate their achievements at Ridgeons Green Light Centre of Excellence in Pampisford, near Cambridge.

Director Gordon Ridgeon said: “We are delighted to be able to welcome ten new members to our ever growing ‘25 Club’. Now in its 55th year, the annual dinner provides the perfect opportunity for us as a Group to thank employees past and present, for their long service and continued commitment.”
