A humorous version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves was the highlight of an open day at Highfield Care Home in Saffron Walden on Friday (June 19).
The staff who all made their own props had been rehearsing for six weeks under the direction of activities organiser, Karen Cooper who also played the Wicked Stepmother. The prince was played by the home’s chef, Nick Kett.
In the appreciative audience was The Mayor of Saffron Walden, Councillor Heather Asker as well as friends and family of the residents.
The event was part of National Care Home Open Day where establishments across the country opened their doors and invited visitors in for a look round and tea.
The residents put on a display of artwork with two ladies at Highfield, Joy Byfield and Sylvia Atkins producing drawings of each other.
