THE amazing spectacle of the Saffron Walden Round Table Carnival Procession - which runs today (Saturday July 2) will be themed ‘Heroes’.
This is your opportunity to be a superhero, sporting hero or one of the town’s unsung community heroes.
Traditionally held on the first Saturday of the carnival, the four-mile procession route will be lined with thousands of people as the town celebrates an amazing spectacle.
Local organisations, charities, clubs, music and dance – it is all there.
The parade is the second largest non-funded procession in the UK and this year is no exception with over 100 vehicles taking part – almost double the number from 2008.
The procession assembles at Saffron Walden Common at noon and moves off at 2pm.
