Saffron Walden Carnival sales caravan returns...
Nothing screams “carnival is almost here” quite like the opening of the sales caravan.
The 8 Day Weekend moved a step closer, on Saturday, when the traditional Carnival Caravan officially opened for business in the market square.
And, despite the wet weather, there was a steady attendance.
Carnival chairman Jason Carnival said: “It’s great to see the caravan back again – it is a big part of carnival for us.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the girls and guys that cover the hours required in their spare time –even lunch breaks. Without volunteers it just wouldn’t be possible and we are grateful.”
The caravan will be open from 10am-4pm every Saturday and Tuesday market day.
