The Farm Club at Saffron Walden County High School has been forced to postpone its 50th anniversary celebrations due to adverse weather conditions and severe flooding.
Over 160 guests were expected to attend the event, which was due to be held at the school tonight (Friday),
Farm manager Dave Crosby said it was regrettable that the postponement had to be made, adding that a new date will be decided on.
The County High is one of the few state schools that still has a school farm. Established in 1963, it keeps Dexter Cattle, Ryeland sheep, pygmy goats, Rhode Rock chickens, cockatiels, ferrets, rabbits and guinea pigs and has a horticultural area and greenhouses.
