FIREFIGHTERS and police officers closed Saffron Walden High Street on Sunday after a head on collision.
At around noon two cars crashed near the war memorial leaving one man was trapped in his vehicle. Crews freed the man and left him in the care of the ambulance service.
Crews made the vehicles safe before preparing to leave the scene at 12.50pm
