Saffron Walden Ladies Circle donate to First Responders
SAFFRON Walden Ladies Circle presented Paul Doe, from Community First Responders, with a cheque for 500 at a meeting earlier this month.
The first responders are all volunteers who give up their free time to provide life-saving first aid to the community.
Mr Doe, along with a members of his team, did a brief demonstration of first aid including basic life support and the use of a defibrillator.
Ladies Circle chairman Kelly Thurston said: “All the members enjoyed the demonstration and were extremely pleased to be able to support such a fantastic charity.
“The donation was from funds raised at our carnival event ‘Songs from the Shows’ in July.”
