THE winner of the Saffron Walden Library Christmas Quiz was Jennifer Capper of Saffron Walden.
Competitors had to identify book authors and book titles with a Christmas connection from the clues given.
Mrs Capper said: “I never can resist a quiz, but never win anything, so it’s a lovely surprise.” The prize was a Christmas Pudding.
The quiz was held as part of the Late Night Shopping Event on December 10 when the library remained open until 8.30pm for the first time this year.
For younger library visitors a special Christmas story time session was well attended and singing and dancing ‘The Reindeer Hokey Pokey’ was enjoyed by the little ones.
