THE first concert of the Saffron Walden and District Music Club's new season will be held on Saturday September 19.

The accomplished Barbirolli Quartet will play pieces by Beethoven, Britten and Debussy during their performance at the Baptist Church on Saffron Walden High Street.

Membership subscription is £35 and offers free admission to all six concerts in the club's autumn and spring programme.

Tickets for non-members for this concert cost £10 (under 18 free) and can be purchased from the Tourist Information Centre on the Market Square or on the door.
