TRUSTEES of the Saffron Walden Youth Outreach Project are celebrating after two tremendous donations to the charity.
Waitrose in Saffron Walden presented 569 as part of the supermarket's regular monthly Community Matters scheme, while the Saffron Walden Lionesses presented a cheque for 200.
Project chairman Mike Hibbs praised the generosity of the town of Saffron Walden.
"We now have enough funds for the Goldie Youth Club to continue until October this year, which will delight the many young people who come to the Goldie every week," he said.
"We will be organising various fund raising events during the months ahead - and if anyone is interested in helping raise money for our work with young people, please get in touch - the number is 01799 525205, and we still need as much help as we can get.
