A NEW piece of equipment for skateboarders to practice their skills will be installed at Saffron Walden's One Minet Park.
A grinding rail, which can be used by skaters and BMX riders to perform tricks, will be built at the skatepark to the rear of the Lord Butler Leisure Centre on Peaslands Road.
Members of Saffron Walden Town Council's recreation and playing fields committee agreed that the rail could be built on the condition that the skaters wore the appropriate safety equipment.
The grinding rail, which is comprised of a steel rail surrounded by concrete, will be paid for by The Skate Group.
