FRIENDS’ School Drama Studio was recently transformed into a posh 1920’s boarding school for young ladies as a cast of 40 took to the stage to perform Daisy Pulls it Off last week.
The play, produced to make optimum use of the intimate space, ran for four nights, all of which were sell-outs.
Richard Smith, head of Drama and director of the play, said: “The cast, who have been rehearsing since October last year, ranged from students in Year 7 through to Sixth Form.
“It was wonderful to see students who are taking drama at Exam level act alongside those who have never been on stage before. It has been a brilliant experience for all those involved, to entertain an audience over four nights and to also see their acting skills develop during the whole process.”
