AUDITIONS for a theatre group's production of William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale will be held on Saturday and Sunday October 10 and 11.

Community theatre group Shake A Leg will be staging a combined amateur and professional production in April.

The play will be directed by David Davies with assistance from top RADA tutor Andrew Visnevski.

The plot is based around a Bohemian king's paranoia and distrust, which cause him to lose everything he holds dearest - his wife, son, daughter, loyal subjects and closest friends.

But all is not as it seems and his years of bitter repentance pay off as he gradually comes to recognise the error of his ways.

Auditions will take place in Saffron Walden Town Hall and are open to people of all ages and experience. Call Bob Eastham on 01799 520660 for more details.
