A PUB was evacuated yesterday (Sunday) after a fire broke out in the kitchen.
Firefighters were alerted shortly after 12.45pm to reports of the blaze at the Kings Arms Public House in Market Hill, Saffron Walden.
Two crews from the town’s fire station discovered the fire started in the kitchen of the pub.
A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said 30 people who were inside at the time were led to safety as the crews evacuated the building.
The fire was brought under control by 1.15pm.
