Waitrose in Saffron Walden is set to close for a short period ahead of the official opening of its new store.

The Hill Street supermarket has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment and will close its doors at 6pm on August 25 in order to ready the store for the official opening on Thursday September 3 at 8am.

Customers can currently receive a voucher saving £4 when they spend over £20 in the new store, which will feature a three-storey car park, an in-store cafe, a concept bakery and on-site toilets.
