PARENTS and staff re-lived their youth when they dressed in school uniforms for a fundraising disco.

The event was held in aid of the Chesterfords Pre School and was the perfect opportunity for adults to don school uniforms, PE kits and mortarboards.

A pre-disco exam, which was set and invigilated by local quizmaster Alan Catley, kicked off the evening of back-to-school entertainment.

Also helping the school to raise money, a Christmas craft afternoon was held which gave the children the opportunity to get messy and show their creative flair.

The event has been held annually for many years and the activities included, Christmas card making, Christmas decoration making and cookie icing.

Chairman of the Chesterfords Pre-school committee, Gaelle Curtin, said: "We are still totalling up the final figure but hope that the two events will have raised a great deal of much-needed money for the pre-school.

"Providing this highly-valued facility for the community is becoming increasingly difficult under both financial and regulatory constraints. The support of local people is essential and hugely appreciated.
