SCOUTS braved sub-zero temperatures at this year's winter camp at the Gilwell Park Activity Centre in Epping Forest.

The 1st Saffron Walden Scout Troop joined 2500 other scouts from across the UK to take part in activities such as zorbining, abseiling and quad biking.

Speaking after the events, scout leader Andrew Leeman, 18, said: "I feel absolutely shattered and I'm back to university first thing but the thing is that I would not have missed this weekend for the world. Trying out all these activities with the Scouts was great. Doing this stuff really keeps me young and fit.
