Shop assistant threatened with an alleged pistol at Hatfield Broad Oak shop

Police are appealing for information after a man attempted to rob a Hatfield Broad Oak shop with an alleged firearm on Sunday (December 16).
Police were called to the village, near Dunmow, at around 2.50pm on Sunday following the incident.
A man, described as being aged in his 20s, white, of slim build and around 6ft tall, entered the store and threatened the shop assistant with what is believed to have been a black pistol.
He was wearing a black puffed jacket with a hood and dark bottoms with black boots.
When the shop assistant refused to give access to the till, the man left in the direction of Feathers Hill.
