A NUMBER of short-term volunteering opportunities in Uttlesford are available over the Christmas period.
Volunteer Centre Uttlesford (VCU) is now looking for people to show some festive spirit and lend a helping hand to some very worthwhile causes.
Break through Breast Cancer is desperate for volunteers to help man their Christmas card shop in Saffron Walden for just a few weeks in December.
Uttlesford Mind is looking for someone to organise events at Christmas and throughout 2010 to raise awareness and funds for their charitable work.
And the Buffy Bus needs someone to help with their bus maintenance throughout the winter months and into 2010 so that their services get out to the people that need them.
These are just a few of the volunteering opportunities, but there are many more.
