Shrouded in mystery: Eurofighters seen escorting a jet in skies above East Anglia

MYSTERY today surrounds why a pair of Eurofighters were seen apparently escorting a large jet in the skies above East Anglia.
One eagle-eyed photographer took this picture over the skies of north Norfolk yesterday. Some people commenting on Twitter claimed the jet was a VC10 Refuelling aircraft however the Ministry of Defence have been unable to confirm this.
A spokesman for the MoD said: “It is nothing that has been discussed and it is not terror related, we would have been alerted if that was the case.
“As for what manoeuvres they were doing, I won’t be able to confirm.”
