Six crews tackle Thaxted fire

SIX crews were called to Thaxted this morning to tackle a blaze in a garage.
Firefighters from Dunmow, Thaxted, Saffron Walden, Halstead and Basildon were on the scene in Bardfield Green End at 10am.
Crews are using two hose reels and foam to tackle a blaze in a garage containing a large diesel tank. Crews reported that the garage is 100 per cent alight and flames are spilling over onto a thatched property nearby.
A water supply has been establish and firefighting operations continue. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
