Ice warning as snow falls across Uttlesford – send us your pictures

As the first true snow of winter falls across Saffron Walden, Dunmow and the rest of Uttlesford, we want to share your pictures of fun in the cold stuff.
Although fun for youngsters, the snow is also having an impact on roads right across the county.
Essex Highways and Essex Police are advising people not to drive unless it is really necessary.
If you must travel then do so with extreme caution and allow plenty of extra time for your journey.
Essex Police posted on its Facebook page: “We are experiencing a high number of calls relating to the roads and the poor conditions.
“Remember, only call 999 in an emergency and 101 for a non-emergency.
“We are experiencing traffic disruption on a number of roads in Essex and this is causing tailbacks.
“Our advice is that you should only travel if necessary.”
For advice on driving in winter visit the force’s page here.
Information on school closures will be shared here by Essex County Council – if there are any – though parents are also advised to monitor individual school websites too.
The Met Office has an amber warning for snow in place lasting until 6pm on Sunday, December 10.
Forecasters have also issued a yellow warning for ice, from 4-11am on Monday, December 11.
We would love to see your snow pictures – please email them into email@example.com or to firstname.lastname@example.org including your name and where the picture was taken. But please stay safe and warm.
