An artist’s impression of St Mary’s Church in Saffron Walden is one of this year’s charity Christmas Cards for the St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood.

This picture by East Anglian artist Charles Evans is one of 15 original designs for the charity, which has a shop in the town.

The collection includes seasonal artistic impressions of familiar landscapes within the West Essex and East Herts community, where the charity’s patients come from.

Other locations featured include Loughton, Bishop’s Stortford, Great Dunmow, and Harlow, painted by artists, Sheena Russell, Mike Sherard, Rod Brown, and Sharon Kulesa.

A pack of 10 cards costs £3.95, enough to pay for one hour of the charity’s 24-hour advice line, which provides critical support and assistance to people in need of immediate advice.

It costs St Clare Hospice £44 (or 10 packs of Christmas cards) to pay for Christmas dinner for a whole family whose loved one is staying with them on the inpatient unit.

The Christmas greeting cards are available to purchase from any of St Clare’s eight charity shops, or at the hospice centre itself.

They can also be bought on St Clare’s Facebook shop page at facebook.com/stclarehospice/shop or on their eBay shop at www.stores.ebay.co.uk/St-Clare-Hospice
