A MUSICAL serenade took place in Saffron Walden Market Square in celebration of St George’s Day.
Giles Bryant, pictured with his guitar, was joined by wife Juliet and fellow musical merrymakers on a sacred trail of the town on Tuesday (April 23).
That included a stop-off in the Market Square, dragon in tow, while a charity concert was held in the Friends’ Meeting House later that evening in hnour of the patron saint.
It featured a re-telling of St George & the Dragon, along with music from the Perpetual Choirs.
The day began at the Turf Labyrinth on the Common at 11am and included an English wine tasting event at Joseph Barnes Wines at 1pm.
