Linda Robinson, senior co-ordinator at Home-Start Uttlesford, was delighted to received a ‘big cheque’ from the children at St John’s College School, Cambridge, on behalf of the charity.
Dr Colin Durrant, a volunteer for Home-Start Uttlesford, gave a brief talk to the seniors in assembly, about what a volunteer for the charity does.
The parents’ association held a fundraising ball in the summer and raised an incredible £7,497.50 which will help the charity to support more of the district’s families who need friendship and practical help at a difficult time in their lives.
