St John’s Little Walden celebrate centenary year with special service

CENTENARY celebrations got under way at St John’s in Little Walden with a special Songs of Praise service.

CENTENARY celebrations got underway at St John’s in Little Walden with a special Songs of Praise service.

Past curates were invited to the service. A banner and set of six embodied kneelers, which had been stitched by members of the congregation, were blessed.

Two benches with plaques to two longstanding churchwardens and faithful supporters of the church – Rene Start and Joan Groom - were also unveiled in the churchyard.
