Den Wisbey, the husband of one of the members, spoke to the club about his working life on a farm. He started work when he was still at school, getting up early to collect eggs. Then he would go back to the farm after school to finish his duties and check on the hens. He continued with this until he left school when he was offered a job looking after the cattle. After some years he changed to looking after the sheep, becoming deeply involved with the lambing.
He retired a few years ago and now enjoys his retirement with his wife, June.
