LOW-COST airline easyJet has revealed that 750,000 passengers will travel from the UK this half term.
Getting away from the miserable UK weather seems to be the reason why Spain is the favourite destination for Brits, with families jetting off with easyJet in search of some sun.
The top three destinations are Alicante, Barcelona and Malaga.
easyJet's UK general manager, Paul Simmons, said: "More people than ever are taking advantage of a late family holiday this year, with 750,000 passengers jetting off across Europe with easyJet.
"With the majority of passengers looking to hit the beach and soak up the sun, or taking a city break in Europe's cultural hotspots.
"Getting away from the unreliable English weather seems to be the main objective this holiday time.
