A Stansted Airport employee has been recognised by the East of England Ambulance Service for being part of its bid to train thousands of people in first aid.

Amy-Leigh Cowler was presented with a certificate and gifts from medical equipment sponsors for her work as a customer service ambassador.

She received a bottle of champagne and her colleagues also went home with goodie bags from Cardiac Science,

The company also gifted airport with a Powerheat G5 defibrillator to donate to its preferred local organisation.

Daniel Gallo, Stansted Airport’s customer service and security director, said: “Congratulations to Amy-Leigh and many thanks to the ambulance service on giving us this accolade.

“The safety of all our passengers and staff is our number one priority at Stansted Airport, which is why we use professional paramedics to train our teams.”
