Stansted Airport: Man charged by police for in-flight bomb threat

ESSEX Police have charged a man with making a bomb hoax following an incident on board a plane flying from Abu Dhabi to the UK.

James Glen, aged 37, from High Street, Chard, Somerset will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today (January 25).

He was arrested following an incident on board an Etihad Airways plane travelling from Abu Dhabi to Heathrow.

The plane was diverted to Stansted Airport where it landed just before midday (January 24).
