A man accused of murdering his mother and her partner in Stansted Mountfitchet in July was back in court today (Monday, September 21).
Brett Rogers, 23, of 20 Bentfield Gardens, is accused of killing his mother, 54-year-old Gillian Phillips and her partner David Oakes, 60, at the same address on July 22.
Rogers, who appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court by video link, was remanded in custody at today’s brief hearing and the case was further adjourned until November 2.
The trial date is provisionally set for February 8, 2016.
